What I would give....
Tis the season for giving. Therefore here's a list of things that would be nice to give to these sports personalities and entities.
Comm. Chito Salud - he seems to be a man of integrity and a good judge of character. He's got a clear vision of the league and he's taking it to the right direction. But what he needs is a marketing director who can help realize his goals. It's been a vacant position for quite some time already. They need someone who can help the league strengthen it's relationship with the fans, win back old ones, and woo new ones.
Solar TV - a broadcast partner would be nice! They say they are repositioning Solar TV and will soon focus on their female audience so they need to find a network that can carry the PBA broadcast till the end of their contract. For the next 2 conferences, there's a chance Solar could possibly tie up with IBC13 or PTV4, of course there are other networks but it's unlikely they can accommodate 5 hours of prime time programming 3-4 times a week. This is all just hearsay. Solar has not announced any concrete plans yet.
Dan Palami - I'd give him an Executive of the Year award. What he did for the Azkals and how he steered them to being one of the Top Dogs in the ASEAN Football federation was absolutely brilliant. He did it his way - the professional way.
Azkals - these guys deserve to get a Godfather! Sponsors are investing, but should a "godfather" come in, it ensures continuous support for the squad. We've seen what they can do, and they're well worth all the attention.
Manny V. Pangilinan - the Metro Manila Filmfest Award for best film would be awesome. He produced the movie Rosario, based on the story of his grandmother, played by Jennelyn Mercado. Directed by the talented Albert Martinez, it seems like this is the most intriguing and perhaps the lost captivating film in this year's roster. Hope they select a quality film worthy of international praise.
Smart Gilas - if only I could wrap that Olympic qualifier ticket and hand it to them, I would! London 2012 will hopefully be a reality.
Marcus Douthit - he's just a signature away from being a naturalized Filipino. I'd sign it but I'm not the President of the Republic of the Philippines! (Dear P-Noy)
Barako Bull - I'd get them water! Manila water! They seriously need it.
Manny Pacquiao - I'd hand him Floyd Mayweather JR. The world has been craving for this fight to happen but we all know Mayweather's afraid of Pacman. Which reminds me, Mauweather should get balls for Christmas.
